Shahbandar Hill new ride?

Shahbandar’s new services: Bukit Shahbandar, a well-known tourist stop, has been upgrading its services from time to time, and now they have their new playground, park and ponds area.

The information was passed on to VanceTan.com by a local vendor at the Bukit Shahbandar area when we visited Bukit Shahbandar. However, we have no information on how long the upgrades have been done, but all of the playground equipments still shine as brand new items added.

School Break’s Out! After 10 days of holiday given to students all over the country, primary and secondary, the break seems “not enough”. As usual, a holiday break for students would be to relax their minds before the next semester commences but for parents’ it would be losing their vacation application. Anyway, during the last day at Giant Hypermart, what do you expect?

On Edu@VT today, we take a look at a few phrases which a successful person would not say, maybe at all times:

1. I was just going to say that
You either did say it or you did not. This phrase gives absolutely no value or meaning to your communication.

2. I can’t…
If you are committed to something, you “can” do it. You may not know how to do it, but it doesn’t mean you can’t. If you don’t want to or don’t know how to do certain things, just say it. Stop saying you can’t. Have you ever heard people say: “Can I go to the bathroom?” What would you say?

3. I’ll try…
Try means you don’t want to commit. Try means it is okay not to do it. You either do it or you don’t. Don’t try. Just do it.

4. I hope…
Take responsibility to your own success. You know things will happen if you are 100% committed to do it. Don’t hope for things to happen. What your mind believe and conceive, it can achieve.

5. It is not fair
Life is never fair. If you truly care about something, instead of blaming the world for it, accept responsibility for yourself and your results and go after what you want.

6. I don’t care (…mr.wateva’s favourite phrase)
No one wants to waste time on someone who doesn’t care. Even if you truly don’t care, do not hurt other people’s feeling for whom they may care.

7. Whatever…
This is a “catch-all response” for kids which can mean many things. Every time you say “Whatever…” people might think you are saying:
-I don’t care.
-This is end of the conversation.
-You can say whatever you want.

Remember that successful people don’t use the word whatever.

8. It’s not my fault
Successful people take 100% responsibility of everything that happens around them. Who cares who fault it is? What really matters is how you are going to solve the problem now?

Sum it up with Dim Sum

Dim Sum Delight: Dim Sum has been a delight for majority of people since it was introduced into restaurants and cafe, but the most important property of a dim sum is its well-knitted quality. Ready for a Dim Sum hunt? Vance Tan checked out a dim sum selling outlet and reports:

At Giant hypermart, don’t forget to drop by stall No.1 at the eatery corner as they serve great, delightful Dim Sum to fill your empty, rumbling stomach. Made out of the best quality, the dim sums there are served in brown containers, and the prices are comparatively cheap. For a container of dim sum, it only cost you $2.00 each. If you need any additional add-ons, they have them at only $0.70 per piece.

PhuturePhase Productions: PhuturePhase Productions has now been in the music industry for seven years since it first established since 2002. The Production offers its client an intimate recording environment for all their musical production needs while maintaining a high level of technical excellence, according to its website phuturephase.net.

PhuturePhase Productions has been deemed successful in leading the music scene in Brunei as its artistes has not only covered local performances but also to neighbouring countries like Malaysia. PhuturePhase artistes also performed recently at the Karnival Bersama Biksita by Radio Television Brunei.

Congratulations on your wedding! This newly-weds had their wedding about one month ago, and only now could I find one of the photos. It was unfortunate that I could not cover the wedding ceremony as I was having some work to do that particular time; i.e. tests.
