CBD Construction: Miri – The land is soon to be used to grow the green hectares of crops and vegetables (in the diagrams) are now tall, gigantic tower-like buildings, as the developers of the land has taken the whole plantation for construction of new buildings.
“We are offered land as a compensation for our plantation and I personally would like to retire from farm work as we had enough of it,” explained a local resident of Miri who wanted to be in anonymity, when VanceTan.com met him at his farm.
The huge hectares of plantation is the heart for various plants and vegetables, entirely commercial cash crops ranging from corn, papaya, jack fruit, long beans and a few more crops available at the market place.

Vance Tan, amongst one of the quickest sprinters
The Cross-Country 2009: The Cross-Country 2009 at SMPJNPHAB saw hundreds of students, teachers and parents-teachers association members running for the sake of sports. The students were grouped into two categories, B and C/D. Vance Tan from VanceTan.com, was amongst one of the fastest sprinters of the cross-country 2009, making it into the top ten. Do see him at the Annual Sports Day 2009, for the 100 metres relay. Thanks to Syahmi for the photos.
P/S: My two photographers, where are the photographs? I’m still waiting for it to appear.

C.A.M Restaurant: C.A.Mohammed Restaurant, in Seria, is one of the one-stop places when the stomach is rumbling and asking for some food. The cheapest meal you can find there is their Murtabak Kosong with Dal, for around 60 cents per pieces. The ambience is quite nice and goes accordingly to your eating out atmosphere. Divided into three sections, C.A.M Restaurant has three areas of brightness whereby many yongster would choose to stay in one nook of the non-litted area.

Alligator encounter: Biawak, is the malay name for an alligator, a species of the family Alligatoridae. The name alligator is an anglicized form of the Spanish el lagarto, the name by which early Spanish explorers and settlers in Florida called the alligator.
According to Wikipedia, an average American alligator’s weight and length is 360 kg and 4.0 m long, but can grow to 4.4 metres long and weigh 468 kg.
According to the Everglades National Park website, the largest alligator ever recorded in Florida was 5.3 metres, although according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission web site the Florida state record for length is a 4.28 metres male from Lake Monroe in Seminole County.
There are many adaptations for the American alligator. Baby alligators have an egg tooth that helps them get out of their egg during hatching time. They also have a muscular flat tail that propels them forward while they swim.

Joggers alert: Joggers along the road should take precautionary measures to walk on the predestrian pathway and not on the main road, as shown below. Moreover, the car and the jogger meet at a bend which could pose hazardous condition to both the jogger and the driver.

Saving the Earth through recycling
3Rs includes recycling: It has been a long time since this matter was brought about by the public. Though, some individuals still care much about saving the earth through greenery activities like recycling used (clean) plastic, packages of Beras Wangi and kitchen tins that were being thrown away.
Recently, a mother of two explained to VanceTan.com that she has already been recycling for quite sometime and the money out of the recycling was fully donated to funds to help the poor people and even donated to people needing them like the flood victims and so on. Although the recycling activity seems paid at quite lower prices, she is happy to see that she is saving the nature as well as helping the people who are in need.

Miri Outbound: This Miri’s most favoured market couldn’t be seen empty, as people arrive at the place at least half an hour before all the hawkers setup their stalls and lay out their goods. Not only was it huge, the aroma of the market smells pure vegetable and no one can deny that the huge array of mixed fruits and vegetables would not let you return empty handed.

Trying out the 50mm lens: 50 mm lenses really makes a different, especially when taking potrait shoot-up and close up photographs. The 50 mm Nikon lenses focuses on the object to be taken, and well-lit the object, requiring no extra speedlight light. *Cool*

Dilapidated stalls renewed: A few stalls like those below are already undergoing massive reconstructions to allow traders to continue their business as usual.
