The library genuinely was a place for people to do their studies, research and silent reading. But, this is not evident anymore. Extensive efforts have been made by the library to ensure their users experience first hand quality of a condusive environment, but do their users return the same concept to the library?

A scenario can be the evidence of the statement above. When the wireless connection was “down” or had technical errors that people cannot connect to the main link, the cyber part of the library, equipped with chairs and tables for study, WAS EMPTY. The fact was different for the situation now. The connection has been fixed and so do the people come rushing in. Most of them could be seen surfing social networks instead of doing their researches, looking at some uneducational sites and filling the conducive environment with unwanted noises.

We, the new generation, the teenagers of Brunei Darussalam, should know how to cooperate and respect the other users in the library as well as the librarians who are doing their duties. The librarians had tried their best to keep the library a conducive environment, but the problem is with the teens who ignored.

In every effort to upgrade the facilities provided by the library, teenagers especially should know how to control their emotions and not etch down on a cutter and start unrevamping the library’s look. Once the tables has been unrearranged by yourselves, it is really neccessary for you to rearrange it back to its original position.

If all cooperated, the library would be a much better educational place to study, besides the tuition centres. There are also free “student” tutors – students who loves to volunteer to teach – in the libraries; approach him and get your questions answered with much detailed explanations.
