Inculcating reading, presenting youth
Vance Tan quotes: A few flash floods struck the Seria areas yesterday and a few teachers from Kuala Belait told me about their colleagues not attending teaching due to the mishap. However, the traffic was much better by the great team of policemen on duty. The Kuala Balai’s houses were fully daunted by water seeping into their parking garages, so most of the cars had to be parked along the road.
Anyway, February is here for us to celebrate and of course not forgetting our Chinese NIU Year will end next Monday with the grand eating ceremony.

Majlis Persandingan: Congratulations to Wardah and Asmawi for successfully had their Majlis Persandingan done this morning. I was honoured to be the official photographer beside another friendly photographer, Azyln from Gamblang Photography.

Youth 2009: As the youth are regarded as the most important asset for the country and will hold on to our country’s heritage, the country puts a great deal of effort to educate the younger generations so that they are well-prepared with knowledge and self-confidence.
During the brief meeting with Hadi, a treasurer of the 2007′s Youth Club by the Dewan Bahasa Dan Pustaka, he highlighted that youth in Belait to be more empowered by people with great leadership and personality as the youth club has been inactive since then. He also said that most of the activities planned were on paper only and not realistically conducted according to the planning scheme. Hadi added that he would expect 2009′s youth club to reform into shape with the new leading members as he might be leaving the country for an abroad education.
For the moment, any youth aged between 12-20 from Belait District may contact me at vancetann@gmail.com and I will brief you on the registration rubric. Alternatively, you may contact the Kampong Pandan Library at +673 333 7049 during working hours from 8am until 5 pm.

Steph’s Gathering: As youth needs more exposure to the public, they have to be self-equipped to face the challenge of the ouside world. A few gatherings are most of the solutions to youth’s communication skills as well as a basic to enthrill themselves with creativity and self-confidence in a group gathering.
