Lobbying Day
Vance Tan quotes: A phone call tells everything. My thanks to the captain of the VanceTan.com’s team, Nick Boey J.Y for the UBD Basketball Tournament competing against Institut Teknologi Brunei for having the team to keep up with the beat of the game.
Sorry guys that I could not attend the tournament as I’m still preparing my resolutions/plans for the grand event BGIC (Borneo Global Issues Conference) which will see Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Salleh AB Rahaman, D.K as the royal patron and Nathan Chasing Horse as the keynote speaker tomorrow.

Pukat Tarik Fishing: If anyone of you who have been quite a sporty person and is pink of health, you might have come across the Pukat Tarik fishing method carried out near the Kuala Belait Beach area whereby a tea of fishermen would gather to carry out their hobbies as a team. The Pukat Tarik fishing method reportedly carried out in the morning often gets a ajor attraction amongst the Kuala Belait beach joggers with the variety of catches made.

BGIC Lobbying Day: The Borneo Global Issues Conference as highlighted earlier is on-going this morning and commenced with the lobbying day, a day for delegates (participants) to be tasked writing their resolutions on the various global issues presenting different countries.
According to Yesmean, one of the Secretary Generals of the BGIC, during a brief Q&A session with VanceTan.com, she commented, “All delegates has been invited to ISB’s Ning Websites, an online-based forum which is almost similar to that of Facebook, providing the participants a whole range of information incluing preliminary guides for the participants. The forum is also where the delegates could meet each other online, through the user-friendly profile pages and enables participants to discuss parliamentary procedure and to bargain with the co-sponsors online.”
Pictures for lobbying day are not available as yet, as the conference is still on-going this morning, but do view the YouTube video below for a last year’s compilation of the conference by ISB.
