Privilege Abused

PRIVILEGE ABUSED - Many residents nowadays are abusing the privilege of playing the crackers. The sights of crackers at the beginning of the Chinese New Year could seem reasonable, but the continuous crackers for 15 days consecutively was almost disturbing the whole residential area, not one night, but for 15 nights. It would be wise if the money used to “burn” the crackers were put to good use such as donating it to charity.

The aftermath of an 8.8 quake in Chile has caused a death toll nearly doubles as rescuers reach isolated and devastated towns. About 2 million people are hurt or without their homes while the death toll jumps to 708.

Readily rehearsed for BSA

Apparently, they are now getting ready for the PJN Best Student’s Award 2010 which will be held tomorrow in the school. The team of school staffs and students alike were sighted at the school’s multi-purpose hall, ensuring the decorations and ornamental designs are well-set before the actual day.

A few alumni students from the school’s previous Science Batch rehearsed for their upcoming performance. Following that, a speech by excellent students such as Joanna Lim Suk Shin would be expected tomorrow as well. The rehearsal is still hearing, and the result can be witnessed the following day.


Male nowadays need to be taught of how they beautify themselves for public appearance. Stephanie in the photo above teaches her partner how to makeup using lip gloss.

Crown Prince’s 36th birthday

BRUNEI TIMES - His Royal Highness Prince General Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, General of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) yesterday attended a high tea reception hosted by RBAF to mark His Royal Highness’ 36th birthday.

Present to accompany the Crown Prince for the celebration at the Officer’s Mess of the Bolkiah Garrison in Berakas were Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah and His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik.

Upon arrival, RBAF Commander Major General Hj Aminuddin Ihsan Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Hj Abidin welcomed Their Royal Highnesses.

Also on hand to greet the royal entourage were Ministry of Defence Permanent Secretaries Dato Paduka Hj Mustappa Hj Sirat and Dato Paduka Hj Abd Majid Mangarshah.

Today is the final day for UBD Open Day, a day to expose more about University of Brunei Darussalam on what type of courses they offer to students admitting to the school. The crowd this afternoon was not as busy as the first day, with only one booth having a long queue. Anyway, people were pretty excited to know what they can minor and major in.
