Proud to have Hill as Bruneian artiste

Our own Bruneian artiste will appear in tomorrow’s function called “The Noble Gift Gala” which will take place at the Ballroom Entrance in The Dorchester, London. Besides that, entertainment by other entertainers such as Jose Cortes of the Gypsy Kings, Dionne Bromfield and Thriller Live could also be expected. Each table costs US$7,500!
Educational talk at SMSA soon: There will be an educational talk by representatives from Warwick University, UK in Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Ali next week to educate students on the requirements and ways to apply for courses at the university, particularly engineering.
Signups are simple. All you need to do is to go to the Career office of SMSA or email your details (such as full name and group tutor) to uk_wyeverner@yahoo.com. More information of the talk are as follows:

According to Miss UK of the blog, “this is a very rare opportunity to meet representatives from Warwick and it will be good for you to know what type of courses are available and how you can be eligible to apply to one of the Top Ten Universities in the UK. This talk is ONLY open for current PREU2 students however I may consider ex-PreU2 students as well because you will be going for university soon.”
A new club set up recently by club co-ordinator, Tin Su Ling, as an initiative to setup more clubs by students. It’s the “SMSA Social Charity Club”. The club tries to bring in the element of love and compassion when handling the charity funds. Members were also advised to participate actively in the forthcoming events and activities such as the Charity Barbeque which will be coming soon.
Twitter has recently redesigned its “Share” button. The button is now called “Tweet”. Another change made to Twitter’s “Home” was that the number of tweets is now coloured in blue.

“ARTB 2009″ Rewind

Although many blogs and websites – which obviously needs no introduction with – have the coverages of Anugerah RTB 2009 in the real show, not many have photographs of the backstage view of the Anugerah RTB 2009.
Hazimah Hamid, a Facebook account user, agreed to extend her permission to me to use her photographs taken backstage before the real show was broadcasted live on RTB 2. Thanks Hazimah! The shots are really taken with clarity and this photographer really has her expertise in herself.

Amplified, which was one of the event involving the battle of the bands, was organised in conjunction with the RTB Media Carnival 2009. The event was overwhelming as many guests and on-lookers joined in the music fun, while listening and spectating their favourite bands take hold of the stage.
Over 80,000 people visited the 5th Consumer Fair (CF5), smashing the expected tally of 60,000 and the previous record of 58,000 visitors. This was according to Sunlit Advertising Managing Director Jackson Ting, who organised the fair.

Who’s Got Talent Season 2 is already up for registration. All you need to do is to upload your video at www.GayaBMobile.com.bn. The video must showcase your talent as it will be screened by the management to check whether it is suitable for general viewing. After that, the public will vote your video through SMS, which will start on 20th February 2010. The top voted participants will go through a selection by professional judges in the music industry.
The last entry to upload will be on the 18th February. For sure the prizes are bigger and better; as said by the poster!

Limbang was not as expected. As notified in my Facebook account status, I was there for a brief vacation to meet some fans there. And, to all existing fans of VANCETAN.com, follow this link to become a fan on Facebook. The road and development of Limbang has improved tremendously, citing an individual who had been there since the last ten years.
“Roads are re-paved for maintenance and roundouts eased the journey,” said a frequent traveller who requested to remain anonymous.
Besides that, the market of Limbang was bigger than before, and buildings have been revamped to beautify the whole area of Limbang. Ferry charges for a trip from Limbang to the neighbouring Temburong District of Brunei costs RM2 for a motocycle and RM4 for a typical vehicle.

Hill’s Stay In The Middle still a big hit. Brunei’s Exclusive artiste, Hill Zaini who had Samantha Mumba a platinum selling artiste to be featured in his video has gain more support for his new single music video which has been released on YouTube for viewing.
The video, now gained 8,103 at press time and will continue to increase in the future.
