Zekzek Kaachhinnggzz on air!

At least 6,000 people tuned in to the show broadcasted live at UBDFM Radio Station, supported by two bloggers: VanceTan.com and RanoAdidas.com. What made the show special was the exclusive appearance of Zek, with the two sporting UBDFM Deejays, DJ Zahar and DJ Jazz.

During the show, Zek answered to tons of questions brought up by the deejays, which explains and underscored the motive behind the video, as well as further details to the video posted on YouTube. According to Zek, the video was initially a private video which has been privatised without tags. The next morning, at dawn, the video was uploaded by another YouTube user although the original content has been deleted by Zek. Zek believes that the person has already obtained a copy of the video through YouTube downloading of the video.

Asked upon why Zek was related to the word, “Kaachhinnggzz”, he expressed that the word is his personal way of expressing success. A song by Nasi Katok Production, with “Haziq Haziq Haziq Kaachhinnggzz Kaachhinnggzz Kaachhinnggzz” amongst the lyrics, was aired during the two hour interview with Zek. Being inquired of how the song came up, Zek highlighted that the song was composed by friends at Nasi Katok Production to cheer him up after the YouTube tragedy which gained a loyal view of 50,000 views in just four days.

Zek has a high potential of becoming an exemplary model to the next generation as he has capability in the music industry, amongst which he competed in various singing competitions including the nation’s Paspot To Fame (P2F) whereby he went up to the Top 80, as well as the Giant Idol singing competition. Zek particularly admires local singers such as NKP, Putri Norizah and Maria. Meanwhile, foreign singers whom Zek fancy are such as Anuar Zain and Awie.

As to why Zek does not want to setup a Facebook FanPage, he said he decided to keep a low profile and therefore would remain receiving friend requests through personal Facebook profile.

Ramadhan directories that you can’t miss out

It’s still the holy month of Ramadhan and there are some notable Ramadhan directories worth checking out, as a definitive guide to your Sungkai outings. Many a person find it difficult to decide thirty locations for a month, and therefore reviews come in handy especially when they are classified in a directory.

1. LOVE FOOD HATE WASTE.

Love Food Hate Waste is the mastermind of Rano Iskandar of RanoAdidas.com and Alin of Kurapak.com. Since operational back in 2008, this directory started off with 20 participating eateries, as they have established only in the second week of Ramadhan. As of press time, LFHW has recorded a stunning 80,000 hits in just two weeks. This year, LFHW also recruited a new member, Thanis Lim who frequently reviews critically about food.

2. SIMPUR’S RAMADHAN SPECIALS.

Simpur’s directory is  a full range of restaurant listings with advertorial banners. It would be useful if the food hunters only need to know what’s on promotion, but LFHW would be preferable should they require exclusive reviews, written personally by the food bloggers. Nevertheless, worth checking out.

Album artwork for H&TG by Lynz

What do you think of these album artwork for Haziq & The Giggles by Lynz Bahrin? Haziq and The Giggles has been quite quiet for some time, but I hope their fanbase will stay satisfactory as they were previously.

Lynz first trial of the album cover

One of the commentors on Facebook reckoned that it’s cute and so spacious. She also suggested more ‘mess’ by adding more black grafittis or just a cute monster. Overall, it’s Indie!

Fact: The hair and glasses are Haziq’s actual

A much feminine album cover, don’t you think so?

It’s all about Prince of Earth

Unbelievable! We’ve taken down our notice, all because of the Prince of Earth, ZekZek. We know we have decided to stop our blog for five exciting years, but the Prince of Earth has ultimately revived us.

If you’re having your Sungkai this evening, and are hoping for something entertaining, listen to UBDFM Radio Station, Brunei’s first university-based radio station. We’ve just come in contact with Khal, and he said that there’ll be a jingle for Vance Tan, how cool is that? I have to disappoint you that the jingle will not be aired tonight, but some other time, therefore you need to stay tune to UBDFM!

Long Live, Prince of The Earth, Zek Zek

Tune in to UBDFM, visit their blog for more information

In case you missed the storyline: Zek is an overnight sensation who gained popularity through a video posted on famous video site, YouTube, to apologise to his girlfriend. The video has been a big hit on Facebook and Twitter, which gained more than 41,000 hits just in three days (a huge milestone for a Bruneian).
