Tahlil @ KB
Aug 17th
Tahlil ceremony: I visited one of my neighbourhood friends yesterday evening for a Tahlil ceremony. The Tahlil ceremony is a ceremony whereby Muslim friends and family gather to recite the Zikir together.
Three tents – all white – were set up right in front of the house itself to cater for the children and ladies while the men were still involved the Tahlil. Right after the reading of the verses, covered food were unwrapped to reveal the fresh aroma of the food. Delighted faces were also potrayed during the feast, especially children who had fun crunching on some chicken rendang, pineapple dishes as well as fruit meals.
At the same occasion, Nazra’s mother keep Nazra in the dark as she was not pre-informed about her surprise birthday party that they threw in for her. She was celebrated with her sister who had her actual birthday on 13th this month.

MD Open House Part 2
Jun 17th
Part 2 of MD Open House: More fun entertained the staffs and distinguished guests of the Managing Director’s Open House, and this is the report as continued from yesterday’s post.
After the arrival of guests, the Giggles from the Jerudong Park in Jerudong opened their show with their smashing dance with a variety of moves and grooves which made all – not some, but all – of the children at the party to be thrilled. The sun was blazing directly on the field but it was not felt conspicuously as everyone was having fun enjoying themselves at the great party. A magic show trailed later which showcased tricks such as getting a ribbon out of a child’s ear and such.

MD celebrates with staffs

Managing Director or MD of Brunei Shell Petroleum Company, invited staffs of Brunei Shell as well as Vance Tan to a function yesterday noon. The event took place at his residence, empat puluh sembilah or house 49. Our arrival was welcomed cordially by Mr. Managing Director and wife inside his residence and a few snaps of photgraphs was taken by his official photographer.
The event was quite special as it was catered by three main entities: Prime Media, Serikandi Catering and Jerudong Park (The Giggles). We (as in me and my family) signed up for the coupons, which are used to generally “buy” or rather “claim” goodies like soft-drinks, pop corns and candies as the stock was quite limited to a certain amount. I met the team of Roslan, dressed in green shirts attending to guests and managing some of the activities such as the colouring contest competition for kids and also the Lego fixing competition, also specially designed for kids.

Check out Zayn’s singles: Zayn Sabri, recently released a singles track entitled Troubled Mind. The track featured One-D and Ancun and the song was produced by Layzee Records Production. According to the production’s websites, it states that the track was the first singles ever produced for Zayn and it was a collaboration between Zayn himself, Layzee Records Production and Magnifhobia.
When I met Zayn on an online chat, he said that his second singles will be out soon. The track will be aired on Pelangi FM once it is out.
Anyway, I love the first singles track that is so genuine, so why not have a listen. Also, don’t forget to view Zayn Sabri’s Myspace site to listen to the track.
